Pardon our dust… Over the next few weeks we will be renovating the Lighthouse.
As we renovate the building, the Children’s Ministry will be talking about renovating (changing, redoing) our hearts to follow God. We will be studying Mark 12:28-31, Romans 12:1-2 and Deuteronomy 6:4-9. Through these verses, we will learn that we need to give our heart (dreams, wishes, wants), mind (thoughts, beliefs, words), soul and strength (hands and feet through service) to God.
Parents, take this next month to encourage your child to talk about his/her faith. We will encourage your child to read the Bible every day.
We will also be talking about serving God by helping others. Be looking for more information on ways your family can be the hands and feet of Jesus to others.

What a great idea! Jesus had such a strong impact on His hearers using object lessons, and I am a big believer in looking for object lessons in our everyday lives, especially when it comes to teaching the children. May God bless your efforts and draw you all closer to Him!
